Food scarcities spreading in East Nusa Tenggara

A local official said that compared to April 2010, the number of districts facing food scarcities has increased from 7 districts to 20 districts.

Then a total of 206 villages were facing food scarcities but now the number of villages facing food scarcities has reached to 1,481 in 201 sub-districts said The Head of the food resilience affairs of the NTT regional government, Alexander Sena.

He said that the number of families facing food scarcities reached 74,774 (minor scarcities), 64,658 medium risks and 189,058 families facing serious food scarcity risks.
